Advanced Magnesium Alloys Corporation (AMACOR) is the largest magnesium recycling facility in the world.
The annual production capacity of the plant is approximately 30,000 MT. The AMACOR plant is located in a strategic location in Anderson, Indiana, U.S.A. close to the heart of the die casting industry in North America.
The plant is highly automated and implements a unique process that incorporates a number of features: complete traceability of material in process; specific process controls of weights and temperatures; a full scale laboratory located on the production floor; a bar code inventory system and a fully integrated cost management system.
AMACOR supplies high quality, ASTM B93 magnesium alloys to the die-casting and the aluminum industries. All three major magnesium die cast alloys are produced according to the ASTM standards (AM60B, AM50A and AZ91D).
The plant is fully certified by GM, DaimlerChrysler and Ford and is QS-9000 certified.
